Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vs. Used
Simply put, a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is a used vehicle that's been inspected and reconditioned but still covered with a limited warranty and purchased from a dealership. Buying certified pre-owned Nissans can be less risky than buying non-certified or privately sold used vehicles, which may not have undergone any stringent certification process.
When you get behind the wheel of a Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vehicle you'll know it has undergone a 167-point inspection, is less than six years old from its new in-service date, and will have less than 80,000 miles on the odometer.
Nissan Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles:
- Must be less than six years old from the new car's in-service date

7-Year/100,000 Mile Limited Warranty
The Nissan Certified Pre-Owned 7-Year/100,000 Mile Limited Warranty* lasts 7 years from the original new car in-service date of the vehicle or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, and covers over 600 components including engine, transmission, and drive train.

The Nissan 167-Point inspection
All Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vehicles must pass a 167-point comprehensive inspection. This inspection must be completed by a Nissan-trained technician. A CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ is provided along with a complete Nissan service history review. All reconditioning must be done with Nissan-approved parts. Only upon completion of this rigorous inspection process can it be labeled a Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vehicle.
Certified Select
The Certified Select program includes certain non-Nissan vehicles for the first time.
In the past Nissan’s CPO program only applied to used Nissan models up to six years old. Now, Certified Select covers vehicles up to 10 years old with up to 100,000 miles. Each Certified Select car receives an 84-point inspection and comes with a 6-month/6,000-mile limited warranty and roadside assistance, plus one complimentary maintenance visit within the first year of ownership.
Other perks of Nissan’s Certified Select include 24-hour roadside assistance, car rental reimbursement, and a three-month complimentary trial of SiriusXM.
Roadside Assistance
24 hours a day and 7 days per week, Nissan Emergency Roadside Assistance provides flat tire change-out with your good spare, dead battery jump, or lock-out assistance for the duration of the 7-year/100,000 mile (whichever occurs first) Limited Warranty.**
Complimentary Maintenance Plan
A 1-year Prepaid Maintenance Plan is included with the purchase of a qualifying Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vehicle when financed through Nissan Motor Acceptance Company.^
The Basic Maintenance Plan includes up to two oil & filter changes and two tire rotations.
CarFax Vehicle History Report and 3-Year Buyback Guarantee
You can view the CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ on every Certified Pre-Owned Nissan. CARFAX® also provides a 3-year Buyback Guarantee that reduces the risk involved in purchasing a pre-owned vehicle.
